FOOD REVIEW: Best Teppanyaki in Glasgow!

Image
Need a good night out with friends and family? Good entertainment? Even better food? Then teppanyaki is definitely for you. Particularly the Sapporo Teppanyaki  right here in Glasgow. It is located near Strathclyde University so if you’re a Strathclyde student and you’re looking for a place to unwind and have a hearty meal after a long day of classes, this restaurant is located perfectly for you! During this meal, I chose the 2-course meal which costs £16 but I had to add £3  because I chose the Sirloin Steak as my main. For the starter, I got the Chicken Gyoza . Both courses were amazing and it came with a side of potatoes, an assortment of vegetables, as well as a bowl of Japanese fried rice. We went at 12pm on a weekday and it was not crowded at all. This restaurant is way more crowded in the evenings and during the weekends. It is also good to mention that the menu we chose is only available for early dinner and that is Monday-Thursday 12:00-18:00 and Fri...

TRAVEL: a short trip to Isle of Skye

Image
ISLE OF SKYE is an island located on the West Coast of Scotland, it’s connected by bridge to Scotland’s Northwest coast. The Highlands is actually have so much to offer, it serves  you nothing but a delight for the eyes.  It took us 6 hours drives from Glasgow to reach the first destination, The Old Man of Storr. The storr offers a rocky hill overlooking the beautiful scenery of lake and other summits. The fun fact about this place is that it get it’s name because of the rocks outline resemble the face of an old man (tho in fact i couldn't really see the similarity 😅).  To reach to the top, we have to walk for about one and a half hour (with no stop, obviously) of the step hills. IT IS exhausting, at least for me because i couldn't stand the supppppper crazy wind, yet i can guarantee it will worth the hike. I mean, look at the view we got along the way! Our second destination was Loch Mealt, it is a lake near The Storr which had a fairly waterf...

Struggles We Face in Scotland

Image
Scots struggles It is true that we are now having a very good time here, in Scotland, but there are also struggles that make our days here difficult. We won’t be talking about the exams and university courses because we believe that studying is always hard no matter where you are in this world (lol). In this post, we will be sharing about the struggles in our everyday life in Scotland! *This is written based purely on our own experiences* 1.      Accents Scottish people are known for having unique and strong accent, especially, Glaswegian accent. Our first few weeks here were quite tough as we did not fully understand what people say (one of the reasons for not being able to understand is of course our English proficiency). It took us awhile to get used to the speed and the way people talk. But, once you understand, you will realise that people here are one of the friendliest people that you will ever meet! 2.      ...

Recommended Packing List for Asians

Image
Exclusive Packing List for Asian Students It is undeniable to say that living abroad, especially in western countries, is sometimes inconvenient for us as an Asian student. So, we, as your ‘ Glasweg ian guidance’, will recommend useful packing-list that is exclusively tailored-made for the Asians! 1. Heattech The first thing that you need to know before you arrive in Scotland is that IT IS ((SUPER)) COLD AND THE WIND IS SO STRONG IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY so, the most important thing is to make yourself warm. ‘Heat Teach’ from Uniqlo is essential because don't have the walk-in store here in Glasgow. Even though you can purchase them online when you arrive but, somehow we feel that the deal in our own countries is cheaper! Or if not please find the UK uniqlo online store here 2. Portable Bidet If you are an Asian girl, you will understand that when we use the toilet, we need ‘WATER’ (you know it)😜. We STRONGLY recommend the ‘portable bidet’...
