RAMEN DAYO!

When it comes to the best ramen, Ramen Dayo! takes the cake. Not only is the ramen good, but other dishes are as well. If spice is your thing, the spicy ramen - fittingly called the Devil on the menu (£9.9) - will definitely be your fav. If you want a milder spice, then the Tantanmen (£9.9) would definitely be your pick. If you want ramen with broth in its pure taste, then you might want to go for a Tonkotsu Miso (£9.9). The other menus that we have tried is the 5-piece Pork Gyoza Dumplings (£4.9), and they’re very worth trying while waiting for your glorious bowl of ramen.

This restaurant is placed in the middle of a quaint, little alley called Ashton Lane. Although this place is a very nice ‘hole-in-the-wall’ type place, it’s good to keep in mind that because of that exact reason, the restaurant is quite small and has very limited seating so you might want to visit when it isn’t peak hours (lunch and dinner time). We went there just as it opened and people were already there so that is one thing to keep in mind.
Another thing is that you might not want to visit while you’re extremely hungry because it takes a LONG-ASS time for them to get the ramen ready. From what we observed, there was only one chef so that might be the reason. But when you taste the ramen, it will be worth the wait.

Not only the restaurant is good, however, as they have a cart selling their high-demand ramen and other menu placed at Platform at Argyle Street Arches. This branch only provides a fraction of their menu, keeping only the essentials such as their Gyoza, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Tantanmen.

Although the ramen sold in this cart may not be as intricately prepared as the one you would get in the restaurant due to time constraints, it is still just as scrumptious, up to the point where I would literally go every weekend after a long week of uni to get my spirits up! It also helps that their staff are absolutely lovely!
All in all, this restaurant is a very good restaurant despite the problems with availability of space and the time it takes for food to come. We rate this restaurant an 9/10.
